here...as promised

Although it is a week late...here is the recepy for Scots broth.
Scot's Broth~
Scotty's version of this soup does not contain cabbage, as do many of the traditional recepies. This pot of soup will serve 8 peope.

What you need:
~1/2 cup of yellow split peas
`1 1/2 pounds of lean lamb
~2 teaspoons oil
~about one pound of soup bones
~8 cups of water
~2 teaspoons salt
~1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
~1/2 cup barley
~1 leek sliced (white part only)
~1 onion chopped
~1 1/2 cups dicer carrots
~1 1/2 cups diced trunips
~tablespoons chopped parsely

Utensils:
~6 or 8 quart pot with lid
~3 quart bowl

What to do:
A few hours before you are ready to begin cooking the soup, put the split peas in a bowl and cover them with about an inch or two of warm water. (it is easiest just to soak the peas overnight in the refridgerator) Cut the lamb into 1/2 inch cubes and brown lightly in the oil. Add the bones, water, salt and pepper, peas and barley. Simmer for 30 minutes, skimming off any foam that comes to the top. Add the rest of the ingredients, except the parsley, and simmer for about 1 1/2 hours longer. Remouve the soup bones and add the chopped parsley. Taste for seasoning, add more salt if necessary: then serve.


so i spent a rediculously boreing vacation at the lake playing video games with my mother yanging at me the whole time and my drunken cousin and his out of controle daughter running around the cottage. family is icky...this is why i must never have children....they scream and they run and the pick at you and they whine and they are all the things that i hate about people in one little package. *shutters* my hair is different again (it has been different...ed twice since that picture) I shall have a new icon up soon....not much going on really...back to class....sitting up late nights not sleeping.....i did take an aroma therapy class...so i can do beginners aromatherapy now.....yeah...i have a big old list of treatments and stuff for problems and whatnot...i think i might get my full aromatherapy liscence soon...i likes it a lot it is facinating...I once heard Kerys say "I am just going to be a student My whole life" And you know what i understand totally what she meant now...which reminds me! I have to cet a hold of kerys and find about what kind of shampoo she is useing and stuff and get us preped for the competition...I have to buy a manequin so that i can practice and fine tune my cut and finnish...i am so pumped!

Anyhow...i should go talk to my mother since i just came home and went to the computer and she is leaving for the lake tomorrow and i havn't talked to her yet
